About Me

Welcome and warm congratulations to you both on your decision to marry!

My name is Zoe Brockhoff and I’m here to create a ceremony for you.

I’ve been in the wedding industry since 2005 and decided to branch out and become a celebrant.  So here I am ...

I've lived down south for 20 years, and prior to this, in the Fremantle area. I officiate weddings in the country and city and consider other destination weddings also.

I love hearing people’s stories of their memories, sentiment, and love. My degree in Creative Industries helps me to create a personal ceremony. I can share my love of writing and reflect who you are both, as individuals and a couple.

Whenever and however, you choose to make things official, I’ll be there to guide you through the process.

Booking

Planning your wedding can seem like you are being thrown into an unknown industry, making you feel overwhelmed!

When choosing a celebrant there may be many questions running through your mind.  It may help to think about what sort of ceremony you would like. You may want it to be formal or relaxed, short or long.

The person you choose should be someone that “sits right” with you both.  Someone that feels familiar without being too familiar.

There are many to do lists and boxes to be ticked along the wedding road.  I am here to make sure your ceremony runs smoothly.  I will be there with you both through the pre, during and post ceremony stages and to take care of all the marriage paperwork so that it is easy and stress free for you both.

I craft ceremonies into beautiful, unique experiences.  A true reflection of you both, and your personal beliefs and which can include any cultural and spiritual beliefs you may have.  This is your day, and it is important that the ceremony is the way you would like your special occasion to be celebrated.

I have a “get in touch” button below for you to send me an enquiry and see if I am the right fit for your day!

Help with personal vows

Personal vows can be tough, but I'm here to help. Let's work together to create authentic and personal vows that truly reflect your love.

Prepare and lodge documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages

Don't worry about the legal paperwork - I'll take care of it. As part of my services, I'll prepare and lodge all necessary documents with Births, Deaths and Marriages.

Rehearsal

I recommend a rehearsal (except elopements) as close to the wedding day as possible. If distance is an issue, we can do it over FaceTime. Note that I may have a wedding the day before, so timing will need to be coordinated.

Travel within region

Travelling is not a problem, especially in WA. Contact me to discuss a travel fee if your wedding is outside this state. And if it's a destination wedding, count me in! Let's talk more about it.
The process

1.

Notice of Intent to Marry

Before we get to the “I do’s” there’s a few legal things you’ll need to get sorted, and that’s where I come in!  I want to make everything as simple as possible for you both.

Once you have booked me, we will need to sign a legal form called the NOIM (Notice of Intent to Marry).  This is an important piece of paperwork which needs to be signed and witnessed no later than 1 month prior to the wedding date.  All this is straight forward and will be sorted out by me.

We will go also go through all the aspects of your ceremony and your ideas.

2.

Getting to know each other

Once the above is done…. tick!  We will keep in touch throughout the duration, until your wedding date.  I will give you a questionnaire, asking you both some questions about each other, your story and what wedding you are wanting.  All this information will enable me to draft up your ceremony.  I want this to be exactly how you want it.  If you need a hand with vows I will help.

I can send you possible examples of readings, poems if needed.  We will confirm your ceremony before the wedding date, and everything will be ready to go for your big day!

3.

The Rehearsals

I do offer rehearsals where it is possible, which I try to do as close to the day as we can.  If your ceremony is far away and I can’t be there in person, we can arrange a Face Time rehearsal.  Please remember I may have a wedding the day prior to yours so we will need to fit it into my schedule times.

There’s a second form you will need to sign closer to your wedding date, it is called The Declaration of No Legal Impediment to Marriage.  This basically means that you’re both free to get married and in between our original meeting you haven’t been married or eloped!

4.

The Big Day

Your big day is finally here! All the preparations to get you ready are well on their way and all the emotions and excitement are surely kicking in! There’s lots of fuss and love around you and you’re soaking in the process of it all!

When you meet me at the venue I will be ready to calm any nerves and guide you through the ceremony we have created. You will soon be newlyweds!

On your wedding day you will be signing three certificates. Two of these are copies of your official marriage certificate. The other is known as a Form 15, which is the “prettier” certificate that you get to take home with you to frame or put somewhere for safe keeping. These 3 forms to be signed on your big day will also need to be signed by your two chosen witnesses. If you'd prefer not to think about the safe keeping of your marriage certificate on your wedding day, you can decide on a special person I can hand it to.

Once the ceremony is complete I lodge all the paperwork with Births, Deaths and Marriages and your union will be 100% legal. There is a wait time, it can be up to 4 weeks in some cases.

Don't just take my word for it...

Zoe, thank you so much for being such a huge part of our special day. The ceremony was intimate, light hearted and perfectly personalised to us. We received so many compliments from guests afterwards. You made Grant & I feel so comfortable and at ease, it was a moment we will never forget. Thank you once again for everything you did for us. We were so lucky to have you!

Grace and Grant

Zoe is extremely professional, approachable and friendly. Zoe had great advice and guidance and helped my fiancé and I write our vows and did a great job at coordinating the family and friends that played a part in our ceremony also.

We were so fortunate we found a celebrant that we loved and that would travel to our destination wedding.

Zoe travelled from Dunsborough to Rottnest Island to carry out our ceremony.

I highly recommend Zoe to all future couples.

Thanks Zoe for making our day the BEST DAY of our lives.

Skye and Simon

Zoe is the perfect celebrant, she's so warm, helpful & genuinely believes in the love of a marriage. She makes the entire journey enjoyable and it was like having your best friend along for the ride. She helped guide us through not only the legal requirements but also supported us in writing out vows. On the wedding day she adapted so effortlessly to last minute changes & kept the mood light which is exactly what we needed.
